Literaturistic Song of the Week

On Melancholy Hill by Gorillaz--This song is absolutely amazing and the music video makes it even more amazing. It's so random and utterly awesome, check out the music video by clicking this link. Gorillaz is an awesome band because it's a virtual band and the members of the band are fictional such as the bass player Murdoc Niccals who says this about the song:

"The melancholy hill - it's that feeling, that place, that you get in your soul sometimes, like someone's let your tires down."

On Melancholy Hill Lyrics:

Up on melancholy hill
There's a plastic tree
Are you here with me
Just looking out on the day
Of another dream

Well you can't get what you want
But you can get me
So let's set up and see
'Cause you are my medicine
When you're close to me
When you're close to me

So call in the submarine
'Round the world will go
Does anybody know
If we're looking out on the day
Of another dream

If you can't get what you want
Then you come with me

Up on melancholy hill
A manatee?
Just looking out on the day
When you're close to me
When you're close to me

When you're close to me

Good song!

I don't know if you're familiar with the continuing story of the Gorillaz, but the video is the next chapter of the story. I was super happy when it came out.

Lol, the music video was. . . interesting. I admit that I didn't watch the entire thing, I stopped after the octopus/squid thing came out of his/her mouth. *Ahem* so yeah. . . . . (lol)
